I am a Senior Mortgage Loan Officer with CrossCountry Mortgage, and I help buyers, homeowners, and real estate partners navigate financing with clarity, strategy, and calm confidence. My approach is simple: teach first, communicate often, and prove value before I ever ask for trust. Mortgages can feel overwhelming, especially when rates, guidelines, and options change quickly. I translate the nois

e into a plan — whether that means structuring a clean pre-approval, exploring refinance timing, comparing HELOC vs. HELOAN options, or building a strategy for unique income and asset scenarios. I also love working alongside agents who want to grow without relying on paid leads. I’m a high-touch partner who brings consistency, ideas, and real support — not just pre-approval letters. My goal is to help you win more confidently, protect your clients, and create a smoother transaction experience from contract to close. When I’m not working loans, you’ll usually find me coaching, reading (I lead a book club focused on growth + money), and building systems that help both families and professionals level up. If you’re looking for a lender who’s strategic, responsive, and genuinely in your corner — let’s connect.

I recently had the opportunity to meet Dr. Benjamin Hardy, the author of Who Not How, and this book has been sitting with me in the best way.

As a loan officer, business owner, coach, wife, mom, and human trying to build a life that doesn’t require me to do everything myself… this message hit home.

The premise is simple but powerful:

Instead of asking, “How do I do this?”
Start asking, “Who can help me get this done?”

I think for a long time, I associated caring deeply with carrying everything myself.

Wanting things done well.
Wanting clients protected.
Wanting every detail handled carefully.

But this book reminded me that building something meaningful usually requires trust, collaboration, and the willingness to let other people operate in their strengths too.

And honestly, I’ve seen how much better the client experience becomes when the right people are involved.

The right processor.
The right agent.
The right title partner.
The right team around the transaction.

Not because one person is doing everything perfectly…
but because everyone is bringing their gifts to the table.

That perspective has challenged me in the best way lately

There’s so much more happening behind the scenes of a home purchase than people realize.

Long before the approval, closing photo, or keys…there are conversations, decisions, problem-solving moments, and a lot of moving pieces being worked through.

Conversations around budget and timing.
Helping people understand what’s realistic.
Working through unexpected issues.

Trying to make the process feel a little less overwhelming while people make really big decisions.

That’s why I care so much about the experience people have along the way.
Because at the end of the day, this was never just about getting to the finish line.

It’s about helping people feel supported while they’re getting there.

A lot of veterans carry around the assumption that buying a home just isn’t realistic for them anymore.

Usually because of something they heard years ago, a past setback, or the feeling that their finances need to look “perfect” first.

But every situation is different.

And I’ve seen how much clarity can come from simply having someone take the time to actually look at the details instead of making assumptions upfront.

Sometimes there are more options available than people expect.

And for those who served, I think it’s important they fully understand the benefits and opportunities available to them before counting themselves out.

One of the most important things I’ve ever done for myself was intentionally building a personal “Board of Advisors”

One thing I’ve been thinking about lately is how much the people around us shape the way we move through life.

Not just emotionally, but practically too.
The conversations we have.
The advice we listen to.
The people we turn to in different seasons.

I think having trusted voices in your life matters more than people realize.

The truth is, none of us are meant to navigate life alone.
We need people with different strengths, experiences, and perspectives sitting at the table with us through different seasons of life.

So here’s your reminder today:

✨ Audit your circle
✨ Build your board intentionally
✨ Ask yourself who speaks into your:
• finances
• health
• relationships
• career
• mindset
• faith
• future

The right voices can truly change the trajectory of your life.

There’s so much pressure around buying a home that people often convince themselves they’re “not ready” before they’ve even explored what their options are.

But readiness usually doesn’t come from having every detail perfectly lined up.

It comes from understanding where you stand, what’s realistic, and what path could make sense for you moving forward.

A simple conversation can answer more questions than people expect.

And sometimes, that’s all you need to start feeling a little more confident about what’s possible

I think there’s a difference between influencing people… and genuinely guiding them.

Because this industry can get really loud.

More. Bigger. Faster.
Always pushing toward the next thing.

But I’ve never wanted people to make decisions from pressure, comparison, or hype.

I want them to feel informed. Grounded.
Certain that the decision they’re making actually fits their life.

Not every “next step” is the right one right now.

And I think there’s something really important about having conversations rooted in honesty instead of urgency 🤍

I’ve realized a lot of the skills that help me most in business
didn’t actually come from business first.

They came from motherhood.

Learning how to stay calm when things feel uncertain.
Learning how to communicate clearly.
Learning how to lead with patience while still being honest.

And honestly, those things matter so much in mortgage.

Because people usually don’t just need information during this process.

They need someone steady enough to help them walk through it.

That’s something motherhood has reminded me of over and over again 🤍

Team LaVassaur is growing, and I could not be more excited to officially introduce you to Lucas Anderson, our new Loan Officer Assistant! 😊

Lucas is a licensed apprentice who is working his way up the ladder to become a Loan Officer, and I can already tell you—his future is incredibly bright.

After attending Loan Officer University and getting licensed, Lucas joined our team to learn the ropes in client care, loan structuring, communication, and the best practices that make this business so much more than numbers on a page.

And while he is learning the mortgage world, Lucas also brings so much of who he is into this team: a love for cars, skateboarding, growth, building wealth, and constantly becoming better.

This is a big moment for Team LaVassaur. Bringing someone into this space, teaching them, mentoring them, and watching them grow is something I do not take lightly. We are so proud of Lucas for everything he has already accomplished, and even more excited for everything ahead of him.

Please help us welcome Lucas to Team LaVassaur! We are lucky to have him. 👏🏼✨

Buying a home is rarely just about real estate.

For most people, it represents stability, responsibility, timing, family, and future plans all at once.

Which is why so many people feel stuck in the “thinking about it” phase longer than they expected.

Not because they’re unmotivated,
but because they’re trying to make sense of something important.

I think good guidance is less about pushing people forward
and more about helping them understand what actually fits their life 🤍

The 5 AM Club was one of those books that reminded me that success is not just about working harder, it’s about leading yourself well first.

A few of my biggest takeaways:
✨ Own your morning
✨ Be consistent
✨ Protect your focus
✨ Prioritize growth
✨ Remember that personal mastery fuels professional success

What I loved most is that this book applies to so much more than productivity. It applies to how we show up in our homes, our relationships, our mindset, and our work.

In mortgage, it is easy to become reactive. There is always an email, a fire to put out, a deadline, or a file that needs attention. This book reminded me how important it is to create space before the chaos — to think clearly, grow intentionally, and show up as my best self.

Because the truth is, the better I am personally, the better I can serve professionally.

Have you read this one? I’d love to know your biggest takeaway 🤍
