How I got here.

I grew up a first generation American. Like a lot of people, I had parents that made huge sacrifices to insure my quality of life.

Skip ahead 18 years and I was fortunate enough to attend Pacific University in Forest Grove Oregon and it was there that I met my wife Amber, picture a tea-cup 5’2” blond, who was the quiet one in groups but when something needed to get done, wow, you could feel the ground start to vibrate, like Apollo 11 launching into orbit!

It wasn’t long before we got married and had returned back to her hometown of Eugene Oregon so she could attend the University of Oregon law school. I know what you’re probably thinking and I am not ashamed of it, and I tell her all the time, yes, I was 100% locking down my sugar mama, at the time!

I found a job working at a nutritional supplement store here in Eugene, had left a coaching position at Pacific and had aspirations of following a dream of becoming a strength and conditioning coach at the next level, with the University of Oregon. Go Ducks!

But I needed to make a change, put some cash in my pocket, and I knew I couldn’t keep the lights on with Protein powder, multi-vitamins, and years of trickling down a slow draining funnel in the coaching field. I learned that when you fall, it usually stops you long enough so you can get up, look around, and see what is in front of you.

Amber’s grandpa Bob Craviotto and her uncle Paul Craviotto were both career State Farm agents in Eugene Oregon and it didn’t take long for them to become role models of mine because these were two guys that had devoted their life to creating unbelievable trust and lifelong friendships with their clients.

I realized that was the type of career I was searching for, the type of company I wanted to work for, and something that could fill a personal void I had in my life. I started working in Paul’s office and realized that I loved it for the same reason I loved coaching. Much like with the athletes I had trained, I found deeper connections with people in helping clients and their families protect what is important to them.

Being a State Farm agent for me means that if I am not helping you, I feel like I am deceiving some of the person that made life defining trips, family gatherings, and unforgettable moments possible for my family year after year. If I am not doing my best to help you as my client, in some ways I feel like I am letting down a family legacy.
