Our Summit Bank team joined fellow banking professionals for a ProSight Financial Association Portland Metro event featuring guest speaker John Maxfield and a conversation about the future of banking.

ProSight Financial Association, formed through the merger of RMA and BAI, helps banking professionals build their skills, share ideas and strengthen risk management practices.

Growing your team? Your business may qualify for a new Oregon tax credit.

Business Oregon’s Qualified Jobs Creation Tax Credit offers $1,000 per qualifying net new job, up to $10,000 per taxpayer per tax year.

Which industries qualify?
• Advanced manufacturing
• Bioscience and biotechnology
• Clean technology
• Food and beverage processing
• Forestry and wood products
• High technology, including software, IT and semiconductor manufacturing
• Outdoor gear and apparel

To qualify, your business must:

• Have its primary business activity in a qualifying industry. Simply supplying or supporting one of these industries does not automatically qualify.
• Create at least one net new job in Oregon during the tax year.
• Pay each qualifying job at least 150% of Oregon’s minimum wage for the county where the employee primarily works.
• Receive written certification from Business Oregon before claiming the credit on an Oregon tax return.

Applications for the 2026 tax year close October 31. Total program funding is capped, so credit amounts may be reduced if demand exceeds available funding.
