Last month, our team gathered with BMS CAT/Blackmon Mooring in DFW for a calibration meeting focused on staying connected, aligned, and ready for the work ahead.

These meetings are an important opportunity to connect directly with our contractor partners, share updates, reinforce processes and carrier guidelines, and make sure teams have what they need to deliver consistently in the field.

A special thanks to RFMs Armando Galarza and Brandie Galarza for leading the presentation alongside Senior RFM Cristina Ramos.

And a pretty great Altimeter full-circle moment: Armando and Brandie are brother and sister, and their dad was Altimeter’s very first RFM.

Some delays have become so common that the industry treats them as just part of the job.

We don’t think that’s good enough.

These are the areas where we consistently see work slow down and where we’re focused on finding better ways forward:

Meet our SVP of Operations, Johnetta Johnson ▹

Almost 25 years ago, Johnetta started at Altimeter as a Regional Field Manager. A lot has changed since then, but one thing hasn’t: she’s always been someone people can count on.

She’s built her career here by knowing the work, understanding the people behind it and never losing sight of what it takes to keep a team moving forward.

Ask her what she’s proudest of and the answer isn’t a title or milestone. It’s her team.

In the midst of hurricane season, preparation is essential.

The window to prepare doesn't close when a storm is named — but it does get smaller. Whether a system is forming or the season is just getting started, the steps you take now directly affect how quickly your life gets back to normal if damage occurs.

A few things worth doing today:

✓ Document your home. Walk through and photograph every room, major appliance, and system. Store copies in the cloud, not just on your device.

✓ Review your policy. Know your deductible, coverage limits, and what's excluded — before you need to file.

✓ Keep records of any pre-storm repairs. Dated receipts and photos establish a clear baseline if damage occurs.

✓ Know who to call. Have your carrier's claims line saved. The faster a claim is filed, the faster work can begin.

The claims process moves faster when homeowners come to it prepared. And when the right people, information, and decisions are already in place — so does everything else.
