The New Mexico Gas Company (NMGC), Native American Scholarship Program (NASP) Committee is pleased to announce the availability of the NMGC-NASP Scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year. Since 2011, NMGC has awarded 225 scholarships to Native American students pursuing most any form of post-secondary education including Associate’s, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degree programs.

They are taking applications from April 3 to May 5, 2023. Each year, this program awards 20 scholarships of $2,000 to Native American students who are furthering their education.

To qualify, students must be:

-A Native American resident of the State of New Mexico
-An enrolled member of a New Mexico Pueblo, Tribe, or Nation
-A graduate or expected graduate of a New Mexico high school, or have obtained a GED from the State of New Mexico
Eligible educational pursuits include:

Trade schools
Certification or a license through specialized technical training
Four-year college degrees
Community college
Advanced degrees such as a doctorate
