Sometimes life doesn’t go the way we planned.

Illness. Memory loss. Sudden life changes.

I’ve lived it personally… and I’ve seen how quickly everything can shift.

That’s exactly why I’m so passionate about having the right kind of protection in place.

There are policies designed to do more than just pay out when someone passes. Some can provide access to funds while you’re still living—helping cover things like care, recovery, or giving your family options during incredibly difficult seasons.

And here’s the part I love most…
👉 It gives you control
👉 It gives your family choices
👉 It creates financial breathing room when you need it most

Every situation is different, and coverage depends on the policy, carrier, and qualifications—but having a plan in place can make all the difference.

If you’ve ever wondered how this works or want to see what options could look like for you, let’s connect. 💬

The Threat to Home is Close

From security cameras and smart appliances to checking email and making online purchases, most of us rely on a host of connected devices to navigate our daily lives. While few would dispute the convenience of living in a connected world, it comes with the associated risks of cyber vulnerability. Criminals now have multiple entry points to our lives, creating the potential for financial loss and disruption to our daily lives.

Here’s what most people don’t realize…

👉 87% of households have between 2–20 connected devices
👉 44% are using connected entertainment systems
👉 25% have smart security systems in place

That’s a LOT of digital doors into your home.

And when a cyber attack happens, it’s not just inconvenient… it’s costly and time-consuming:

💻 $10,000 average cost to recover from fraud, identity theft, or cyber extortion

⏳ 6–10 hours spent fixing credit, monitoring identity, and repairing records

Even more concerning:
⚠️ 1 in 5 Americans report home title fraud
⚠️ 45% of fraud victims have been hit more than once
⚠️ 63% of people don’t know how to spot a cybercrime

This is where personal cyber insurance comes in.

Think of it as a digital safety net for your home—covering financial loss, restoring your identity, and helping you recover faster if something goes wrong.

Because protecting your home today isn’t just about locks and alarms…
It’s about protecting your digital life too.

🦺 Story Time: Workers Comp & Safety

Most contractors think Workers Comp is just another bill.

But here’s the truth 👇
Workers Comp is one of the most important safety nets in your business — for you, your team, and your livelihood.

✔️ It protects your employees if they’re hurt on the job
✔️ It protects YOU from lawsuits
✔️ It keeps one accident from becoming a business-ending event

And here’s the part most people miss:
👉 Insurance works best when safety comes first.

The safer your job sites are, the fewer claims you have.
The fewer claims you have, the more control you keep over your rates.

This is why I don’t just sell policies — I teach contractors how to protect their businesses long-term.

If you have employees (or plan to), Workers Comp isn’t optional — but doing it right is a choice.

If you want help making sure your coverage actually matches the work you do, let’s talk.

Dear Business Owners—quick but important reminder 👇

If you’re using AI to respond to emails…
please read them before you hit send.

True story from a recent fix 'n flip closing:

We delivered the insurance quote immediately.
The lender postponed closing for weeks.
When communication restarted, the emails came fast and furious—but none of them actually answered the questions being asked.

I requested specific information.
I was told it had “already been sent.”
I pointed out the property was insured for more than required.
I re-explained (again) that an RCE is used to calculate premium, not determine rebuild cost.
(A constant battle in the insurance world.😖)

Every response felt slightly off.
Close… but not applicable.
Prompt… but disconnected.

And then it clicked 💡
AI was likely being used to speed things up—without a human reviewing the response.

AI is a powerful tool.
But it doesn’t replace critical thinking, context, or accountability.

So here’s the business tip:

👉 Take 5 extra seconds. Read the message. Make sure it actually answers the question.

Because speed without accuracy doesn’t save time—it costs it.

Lately I’ve been noticing something interesting… my favorite old-house (and European castle) reels started feeling a little too perfect. So I switched to looking at real estate listings instead—because they still feel real. Not filtered. Not generated.

With AI becoming mainstream, knowing what’s real (and what isn’t) is turning into a brand-new life skill.

I put together 5 simple ways to spot AI-generated posts so you can scroll with confidence.
