📌 MEDICARE MINUTE: GET READY FOR 2027 CHANGES
If your mailbox hasn't started filling up yet, it's about to! 📬
We are anticipating MANY Medicare Advantage plan changes and market exits for 2027. There is going to be a lot of noise, a lot of commercials, and a lot of confusion.
But you don't need to panic, and you don't need to guess what is happening to your specific coverage.
📢 Keep an eye out for your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC).
Your current insurance company is required to mail or email this packet (ANOC) to you by September 30. This official document is the ONLY piece of mail that matters right now. It will tell you exactly:
💰 Cost changes: New monthly premiums, deductibles, and copays. Changes to dental, vision, hearing, OTC, food cards and gym membership
💊 Coverage updates: Medications or services added or removed.
🩺 Network rules: Changes to your doctors, hospitals, or pharmacies.
🛑 Terminations: If your specific plan is closing down entirely.
Marketing mail is not the same thing as this official notice. Don't make a Medicare decision based on a flashy TV commercial or a random postcard.
📅 Remember: Medicare Open Enrollment runs from October 15 – December 7. You have plenty of time.
