USDA's Crop Progress & Conditions report summary for May 24, 2026:
-Corn planting 86% complete vs 89% expected (86-96% range of ideas), 76% last week, 86% last year, 83% average
-Soybean planting 79% complete vs 82% expected (76-90% range), 67% last week, 75% last year, 68% average
-Winter wheat conditions 26% good/excellent vs 28% expected (26-30% range), 27% g/e last week, 50% g/e last year
-HRW conditions unchanged/SRW slightly higher/white wheat conditions decline
-Spring wheat planting 86% complete vs 87% expected (81-95% range), 73% last week, 86% last year, 79% average
-Cotton planting 53% complete vs 41% last week, 50% last year, 53% average
-Oats 95% planted vs 87% last week, 94% last year, 90% average
-Sorghum 36% planted vs 30% last week, 38% last year, 37% average
NOTE: The first crop condition ratings for corn, soybeans and spring wheat will be included in the USDA's Crop Progress report next week.
