Some of the most important parts of a team happen behind the scenes.

The way people communicate.

The way leadership makes the team feel appreciated.

The way one department steps in when another needs help.

The way people laugh together, understand each other’s communication styles, and keep showing up for the work in front of them.

Hannah said it well: Jessica and Matt put real care into building that kind of environment.

And that matters.

Because the way a team supports each other often shapes the way clients feel supported too.

Sometimes being able to show up well starts with taking a minute to reset.

June is Men’s Health Month, so over the next couple of weeks, we’re sharing a few short conversations around men’s health, mental well-being, support, and the importance of talking about what we carry.

We asked Matt and Ben for their thoughts on what helps them stay grounded when work, family, or life gets busy.

For these two, sometimes the reset is simple.

A glass of water.
A walk outside.
A quick surf.
A few minutes away before getting back to the day.

Small things can still matter, especially when they help you come back with a little more clarity.

Some traditions are simple, but they say a lot about a team.

At Schulte, monthly birthday lunches have become one of those little office outings we always look forward to.

June is our biggest birthday month, so the team stepped out to for lunch in the Leucadia sunshine.

An hour outside the office, good sandwiches, and the kind of laughs that are hard to fit into a normal workday.

And for anyone making Moto Deli run soon, the Turketta and a side of mac salad seem to be the move. You can thank us later 🤤

A few good things from around Schulte recently 🫶

A birthday cruise for Jessica, a meaningful community event for Kelsey and Hannah, a family graduation for Ben, and a birthday dinner for Mia.

Wins do not always have to be big to be worth sharing. Sometimes they are just the moments that remind us what life outside the office looks like too.

We’re wishing Jessica and Mia the happiest of birthdays. Send them both some love in the comments.

The baby photos made it out of the family albums.

Long before they were answering questions and making insurance feel a little less confusing, they were already showing a little personality.

Some causes feel especially close to home.

We were grateful to volunteer, attend, and sponsor a recent En Pointe for Ava dance event.

supports families with children diagnosed with life-threatening brain tumors by helping increase access to treatment, including financial support for travel and housing when care is not close to home.

For our team, this cause is also personal.

Schulte Insurance founder Kris Schulte passed away from glioblastoma brain cancer in 2020, making it especially meaningful to support an organization helping families facing brain cancer.

It was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community shows up for families facing something no family should have to face alone.

Thank you to En Pointe for Ava for the work you do and for letting us be a small part of the evening.

Health insurance costs can feel like they keep moving in one direction.⁣

Up.⁣ 😩😩😩

And when that happens, the first question is usually pretty simple:⁣

Why?⁣

The answer is rarely just one thing.⁣

Rising care costs, prescription spending, delayed care, broader market factors, and plan structure can all play a role.⁣

That is why the conversation should not stop at, “Can we find something cheaper?”⁣

A lower premium may help, but only if the tradeoffs still make sense for the people using the coverage.⁣

The better conversation starts with understanding what changed, what options are available, and what each option may mean over time.⁣

Swipe through for a few of the reasons health insurance costs continue to rise, and what may be worth reviewing before renewing the same way again.⁣

We were not quite ready to let the long weekend feeling go.⁣

A little beach time, a little team time, and the unofficial start to summer at Schulte.⁣

Here’s to more days like this ahead.⁣ Hope y’all had a great MDW. 🤗☀️🇺🇸

Across Schulte’s Google reviews, a few themes keep coming up again and again.

Clear answers.
Responsive support.
Patient explanations.
Guidance when the decision is not simple.

That matters because health insurance is rarely just paperwork.

It affects families, employees, business owners, retirees, and people trying to make the right decision with a lot to consider.

These words mean a lot to our team because they reflect what we hope clients feel in every conversation.

Clarity.
Responsiveness.
Guidance that lasts.

Thank you to every client who has taken the time to share their experience with us.

A local teacher was turning 65, retiring, and choosing Medicare coverage for the first time.

That is a lot to navigate at once.

She had never managed her own health insurance before, and with some health concerns, the decision needed more than a quick plan comparison.

This was not just about Medicare Supplement versus Medicare Advantage.

It was about access to care.

Ben helped her look at what mattered most.

Doctor choice.
Specialist access.
Nationwide flexibility.
And what costs could look like over time.

A Medicare Supplement may cost more each month, but for some people, the access and lower potential out-of-pocket exposure can matter more.

That is why context matters.

The right option is not always the one with the lowest upfront cost.

It is the one that fits the person, their health, and the way they may need to use care.
