Ten years ago, the Elk River Flood changed our community forever.
Homes were lost, businesses were destroyed, and lives were turned upside down. Yet through the devastation, the people of the Elk River showed the strength, resilience, and determination that define who we are.
Neighbors helped neighbors. Strangers helping strangers. Together, we rebuilt not only our homes and schools, but also our sense of hope and community.
Today, we remember those difficult days, honor the stories of perseverance, and celebrate how far we’ve come. The flood may have tested us, but it never broke us.
A decade later, the spirit of the Elk River remains stronger than ever.
