Backed into a pole?
That’s usually collision coverage — not comprehensive.
This is one of the most common mix-ups we hear from NC drivers. Comprehensive sounds like it covers “everything,” but it usually applies to things like hail, theft, fire, falling objects, or animal hits.
Collision is the coverage that usually applies when your vehicle hits another car or object.
If you’re not sure what you actually have on your policy, we’re happy to help you check it.
