A lot of people think confidence comes from having all the answers.
In my experience, it usually comes from having a plan for when things don’t go as expected.
The conversations that stick with me most aren’t about chasing the highest return or finding the perfect strategy.
They’re about questions like:
• What happens if I decide to retire earlier than planned?
• What if I want to help my kids more?
• What if my career takes an unexpected turn?
• What if life looks different five years from now?
The future rarely unfolds exactly the way we expect.
But when you’ve thought through the possibilities and built flexibility into your plan, uncertainty becomes a little less intimidating.
The goal isn’t to predict every outcome.
It’s to be prepared enough that you can adapt when life inevitably changes.
What’s one “what if” you’ve been thinking about lately?
