WIN Private Wealth We exist to help you turn income into wealth. Uncertainty into strategy. Pressure into a plan that protects what you've earned and builds the life you want next.

We strongly believe the WINs will come. In considering any career change, many questions may arise, such as: What will be my responsibilities? How will I be trained? How will I be compensated? The answers to these questions depend on many factors. When you sell insurance or financial services, you're not merely selling products, you're developing relationships. Your relationship with your customers, as well as the trust they place both in you and in the products you offer, are critical components to your ultimate success. You'll also make a vital contribution to your community, and when you see the difference that can make, it's more fulfilling than you might imagine. Agents with the Stockton General office provide very intimate services in the insurance and financial services marketplace. They meet with and know their clients on a personal level. The responsibilities of an agent include: contacting new people, meeting with them and fact-finding to gather necessary information regarding their present situation, providing analysis of situations and, ultimately, presenting solutions that help meet objectives. Will AI replace financial advisors?

I don’t think so, but it’s up for debate.
Here’s where I land:

Where AI shines:
- Explains concepts quickly
- Always available
- Runs quick math and estimates in seconds

Where AI falls short:
- It can’t see your full picture. No matter which tool you use, it only knows what you feed it.
- It can be confident and wrong. We’ve seen it time and time again.
- There’s no accountability. If you act on what it tells you and something goes wrong, the only person at fault is you.

Where AI gets powerful is in the hands of advisors who use modern technology to solve problems better for their clients.

If that sounds like what you need, let’s have a conversation.

Can I put my child on payroll?

Short answer is yes. Here are 3 things to know before you do it:

- The work has to be real and the pay has to be reasonable. Age-appropriate tasks, fair wages, and good records.

- There are tax benefits on both sides. Wages paid to your child may be a deductible business expense. And depending on how much they earn, that income could be completely tax-free for them.

- Invest it. This is the most important part. Whether it goes into a Roth IRA or a UTMA/UGMA account, giving that money time to grow and compound until your child needs it may be the biggest benefit of all.

Spending $1 to “save” 30 cents isn’t a WIN.

Tax deductions reduce taxable income.
Tax credits reduce your bill dollar-for-dollar.

Most people mix these up and it costs them.
The real question before any tax move: would you do this anyway if there were no tax benefit?

If the answer’s no, it’s not a strategy, it’s a trap.

Entrepreneurs aren’t bigger risk takers. They’re better at reducing risk before they ever leap.

This week I’m going solo, breaking down some common threads I keep hearing across every conversation on this show.

Your income is your biggest asset. Are you actually protecting it?

Most people think disability insurance is about permanent disability. It’s really about protecting your paycheck.

In this video I break down the 4 things to check on any policy: definition of disability, elimination period, benefit period, and benefit amount.

We don’t sell insurance, we’re fee-only fiduciaries. But we review these policies for our clients because getting this wrong is a risk we don’t want anyone taking. If you’re a specialist and don’t have this in place, let’s talk.

3 questions from my Q&A, answered:

1. Real estate or stocks? Depends on your situation. Stocks give you liquidity and low barrier to entry. Real estate gives you leverage and tax benefits, but ties up capital and time.

2. When should you hire a financial advisor? No magic age. It comes down to complexity. When the questions get bigger than you or start eating your time, that’s your sign.

3. How do you build wealth on a tight budget? Create an order of operations for your money: employer match first, small cash buffer second, automate your investing third, then attack high interest debt.

Simple isn’t always easy, but it works.

What are your thoughts on a permanent policy? Client asked yesterday as we finished up a quarterly review.

Whole life, IUL, doesn’t matter, my answer’s the same.
For 90% of people, permanent insurance doesn’t make sense.

Here’s why. It bundles three things: insurance, tax free growth, and accumulation. You can buy all three separately for a fraction of the cost with better performance. Term for the insurance, a Roth for the tax free growth, and the market for accumulation, which outperforms an insurance policy over time, it’s not close.

The only real exceptions: business owners looking for a tax shelter, and estate planning late in life.

For everyone else, you’re paying a premium for convenience you don’t need.
