When most people hear "notorious," they think infamous (or Biggie 🎶). But the word traces back to the Latin noscere, "to come to know." At its root, notorious just means known.

For years I was recognized for my results, but I rarely felt seen for the person behind them.

This was my first Notorious event, and I traveled to Nashville for it with my friend and coworker Marin Ward.

Walking in, I realized what I'd been missing: women who get this business, who've lived the same wins and grind, and who genuinely cheer each other on.

So for me, notorious isn't about a reputation. It's about being known. It's a place where I belong, where I'm inspired, and where I can just be me.

USDA Home Loans in Northern California: Buy a Home With No Down Payment

If you're searching for home loans in Sacramento, Elk Grove or Lake County and want to buy with little or nothing down, a USDA home loan may be the answer. Many rural and suburban areas outside the Sacramento core, along with much of Lake County including Clearlake and Lakeport, can fall within USDA-eligible areas.

A USDA Rural Development guaranteed loan is a government-backed mortgage designed to help buyers purchase homes in eligible rural and suburban areas. It's not just for farms, and it's not only for first-time homebuyers in California.

• Seller can contribute toward closing costs

🏡 What the new housing executive order means for California homeowners

On October 22, the President signed an executive order aimed at lowering homeownership costs. It isn't law yet, and nothing changes today. It directs federal agencies to create or expand programs, with details still to come. Here's what it covers:

✅ Mortgage insurance: Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are directed to create a pilot that could cancel mortgage insurance automatically once a borrower reaches the required equity, based on current home value. It would apply only to new conventional loans made after the pilot starts.

✅ Lower refinance costs: An existing program that lets some refinances skip lender's title insurance would become permanent and could expand nationwide. That could mean real savings here in California, where title costs are a big part of closing costs.

✅ VA and USDA loans: Those departments are directed to lower rates on home loans they make directly.

✅ Factory-built homes: A new task force will work to lower the cost of manufactured and factory-built homes.
