WoodmenLife Chapter 262 recently partnered with Bladen Community College to establish a new endowed scholarship for Bladen County students pursuing higher education. Along with supporting the Student Emergency Fund and Eagle’s Nest Food Pantry, this effort helps remove barriers so students can focus on their future.

Serving families through WoodmenLife allows me to do more than provide financial protection — it allows me to give back to the community I love.

Excited to see the impact this will have on local students!

Bladen Community College is pleased to announce the establishment of a new endowed scholarship in partnership with Woodmen Life Chapter 262. This scholarship has been created to support students pursuing any degree program at the college and is designated for residents of Bladen County.
This new endowment reflects a shared commitment to expanding educational opportunities and investing in the success of local students. By easing financial barriers, the scholarship will help recipients focus on achieving their academic and career goals.
Founded in 1890, Woodmen Life is a not-for-profit life insurance organization dedicated not only to protecting the financial future of families, but also to giving back in meaningful ways. With a long-standing tradition of service, Woodmen Life strengthens communities across America by reinvesting resources locally and supporting initiatives that make a real difference. Through active member involvement, the organization leads and participates in community projects, provides financial support, and honors the nation—demonstrating a deep commitment to both individual security and the well-being of hometowns nationwide.
In addition to establishing the endowed scholarship, Woodmen Life Chapter 262 has also made generous contributions to the college’s Student Emergency Fund and the Eagle’s Nest Food Pantry. These vital resources are well utilized and play an essential role in supporting students by helping meet basic needs, allowing them to remain focused on their education.
Bladen Community College is grateful for this gift and the meaningful impact Woodmen Life Chapter 262 is making in the lives of students and within the community.
For more information about scholarships or ways to give, please contact the Bladen Community College Foundation at 910.879.5500 or visit the website at BladenCC.edu.

WoodmenLife Chapter 262 donated these flags a couple of months ago to Wesley’s Chapel Church, and it’s a blessing to see them used to honor those who have served.

My wife and I, along with my mama, Patty Rogerson, spent part of our afternoon placing flags in honor of Veterans Day. A special thank-you to my father-in-law, Robin Todd, for cutting the pipe so we could display them properly.

I’m so thankful to be part of an organization like WoodmenLife that values faith, family, and community. It’s a joy to have a job that allows me to serve alongside my family and my church, giving back to those who have given so much for our freedom.

One of the many ways Woodmen fosters camaraderie among its members is through trips like this—creating wonderful opportunities for connection and lasting friendships.

A couple of my members attended this trip and had the best time.
