Customer Service Team Member – Personal Lines Department

Where: Locally owned, Independent insurance agency

Position: Full time

Compensation: Based on experience and skill set

Department: Personal Lines (Home, Auto, Renters, etc.)

About the Role
We are seeking a smart, motivated, and team oriented individual to join our Personal Lines Service Team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is eager to learn the insurance industry from the ground up. An insurance license is not required to apply— but will be required, therefore we will assist the right candidate in obtaining their license within the first few months of employment.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide day to day support to Personal Lines clients, including answering coverage questions and assisting with policy changes
• Help to quote new and renewal business
• Use our agency management system to document interactions, manage workflows, and maintain accurate client records
• Assist clients with billing questions, payment processing, and account updates
• Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and in office client visits with professionalism and a positive attitude
• Support the Personal Lines team with administrative tasks and customer follow up
• Deliver an excellent customer experience that reflects our agency’s values and service standards

What We’re Looking For
• Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help people
• Ability to stay organized, work in a fast paced environment, and maintain attention to detail
• Willingness to learn insurance concepts and grow within the role
• Comfort using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Customer service or office experience is helpful but not required
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a team first mindset
