The Elizabeth, NJ Firemen’s Federal Credit Union is excited to announce the high school senior who was chosen to receive $1000.00 scholarship from the Elizabeth, NJ Firemen’s FCU 2024 Scholarship Program! This year’s winner was long time member Jack Chavez!! Jack received $1,000.00 and will be attending Villanova University to continue his education and play baseball representing the NCAA Division I Big East Conference. We are incredibly proud of Jack and excited to see the bright future that lies ahead. Your hard work and dedication have truly paid off. Keep striving for excellence and achieving your dreams!
The winner was chosen based on academic achievement, community involvement, and overall character. Applicants were also asked to submit an essay. The credit union will offer the scholarship every year to a trade school, 2-year, or 4-year college of their choice come the fall of the graduating year. To qualify the student must be a member for at least a year.
