On Saturday, May 4th, Grameen America Newark Elevate branch hosted our quarterly in-person event at South Mountain reservation. We started with a hike, hosted by one of our members businesses, Hikeolution (keyana Jones) and ended with a BBQ and networking. It was a fabulous event.

As if meeting so many phenomenal, black women business owners and seeing Grameen’s members vending, was not enough, meeting Ms. Ayisha Taylor-Issah, CEO of the The Sistah Shop was that part for me! I love this sister’s vision. This was an early birthday gift for me…and I ate the best soul food that I everrrr had from Top Knotch Soultry Delights.
