Last month the Central Dewitt schools lost a wonderful member of their teaching family. It was not only a devastating loss for all the students and staff, but of course for Mrs. Brookins husband and their four beautiful children.
💜 This Friday is Trisha Brookins’ birthday, and we would love for our Central DeWitt community to come together to honor her and support the family she loved so deeply. 💛
After the heartbreaking loss of Trisha last month, the Brookins family is now facing unexpected basement repairs. As a district and community, we have the opportunity to help ease one small piece of the burden they’ve been carrying.
Trisha dedicated her heart to her students and colleagues as a beloved middle school science teacher, and her impact continues to be felt throughout our schools every single day.
In honor of Trisha’s birthday, we’re asking staff, students, families, alumni, and community members to consider donating $22. Checks and cash can be delivered to any of our school offices. Please make checks payable to Burds Waterproofing. If donating through Venmo, please include “Trisha” in the note.
