The Fed held rates steady today… now what?

While the Federal Reserve didn’t change its benchmark rate, mortgage rates don’t move in lockstep with the Fed. Today’s announcement was generally viewed as positive, but mortgage rates can still fluctuate daily based on market conditions.

Here’s the good news for buyers:
✔ More homes are on the market
✔ Less competition
✔ More negotiating power
✔ More opportunities to negotiate seller-paid closing costs

Waiting for the “perfect” rate isn’t always the best strategy. The right time to buy depends on your goals, your budget, and having a solid game plan.
