Went water sniping yesterday for a few hours on the s. Fork american river. First time in a year, all my gear worked. Not a good area , no u derwater crevasses where i was.

Went to yankee jims bridge ca. area a week ago found some gold with friends. Back at the bridge found about 100 parked cars and lots of people. Usually less than 10 cars. During the weekend there were 300 cars. Now no parking within 3 miles of the bridge. One less fun place to go to get away from crowds.

Steve and I crevassing on the south fork of the american river , California.
We found a well dug area and panned some gravel. Not much gold found but it was nice weather.

Prospecting has been slow this winter. The old digs are showing very little
Gold . I have some plans to prospect some areas that i found gold years ago. I will post results later

First time water sniping this year, rivers are slowing down. Trouble with equip., mask leaked , also snorkel leaking. Maybe better next time, saw a nice trout but no gold. Tried Area by a bridge on n. Fork American river ca. Last time found a nice nugget near the bridge. Came upon some deer on the way out, mother ran up side of hill and fawns did not make the climb I had to wait till they safely found a way off the road.

Steve and I went kayak prospecting above Folsom lake ca. Video of the area. Not too much gold found, we were to high up on the bank.

Kayaking trip on the s. Fork American river going into folsom lake. Found a little gold high up on the side. The river rapids are about half mile further up lake , turns into river.

My friend Steve and I went up the s. Fork American river kayaking for gold yesterday. Found some but we are up high in the lake side just below where the river rapids start. Some friends also were with us !
