Severe storms are expected in our area today—here’s what to do if you experience damage:
1. Stay safe! Avoid downed power lines and unstable structures.
2. Prevent further damage to property if possible (tarp a roof, move valuables, etc.).
3. Document everything. Take photos/videos even before making temporary repairs.
4. Start your claim (if you know you have damage above your deductible) by:
- Using the State Farm app
- Calling our office (618-656-1731)
- Calling our Claims Reporting Line (855) 259-8568.
5. Keep receipts for any emergency repairs or expenses.
If we get significant hail and you suspect you may have hail damage to your roof, it is in your best interest to have a licensed local roofer inspect your roof PRIOR to reporting a claim. You have up to one year to report a loss so there is no immediate rush to do so if you are unsure of the extent of damage (if any).
If you are not familiar with the licensed local roofers in the area, please call our office for assistance.
We’re here to help with any claims questions you may have. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need guidance.
Stay safe today!
