A severe storm just passed through Edwardsville that included large hail. Be sure you have damage above your homeowner’s deductible before filing a claim. A licensed local roofer can hekp you assess your roof for hail damage. If you have determined you need to file a claim, you can do so on State Farm’s mobile app or on the Statefarm.com website. You can also call 800-SF-Claim (800-732-5246). You will need your homeowner’s policy number.
If you wish to speak to our office before filing a claim, we are open 9am-5pm Monday-Friday (618-656-1731). Please be patient and leave a message if the lines are busy. We are expecting a lot of calls as a result of this storm. We will respond as quickly as we can in the order received. Be safe and thank you for your business!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those killed in last night’s tornado. If you experienced storm damage to your home or auto, State Farm has several different ways for you to file a claim (see information below).

Also, many in town are without power this morning. Here are a few things to remember….

Use battery operated devices (flashlights, etc..) instead of candles whenever possible.

Turn off, unplug or disconnect any appliances, equipment or electronics that were on when the power went out. When power comes back on, it may come back with momentary "surges" or "spikes" that can damage equipment such as computers and motors in appliances like the air conditioner, refrigerator, washer or furnace.

Also, avoid opening the refrigerator and freezer. It helps keep the food cool. Before eating food items, check them for spoilage.

Our local office is here to help you. You don’t have to have a policy with us to seek advice or ask a general insurance question. The best way to reach me today is by email ([email protected]). I will respond as quickly as possible.

Please consider your homeowner’s deductible before contacting State Farm to file a claim. Our office will open Monday morning at 9am to help you determine if a claim should be filed if you are unsure.

Home & property claims are kind of terrible. But with easy filing and lots of help, State Farm takes care of you.

Bad storms in the area tonight. If you have damage, please secure your property as best you can and save any receipts. Take documentation photos when able. If your damage is severe please call our 24 hr claims line at 800-732-5246. Please be sure your damage exceeds your deductible prior to reporting.
