Happy 5/30 day! Are you familiar with the newest tax advantaged account for kids?

The 530a plan aka Trump Account goes live on 7/4. It is another option for families to save up to $5,000 per year but more importantly children born in 2025-2028, will receive a one time $1,000 start from the government.

Most experts agree the 529 is still a better option but it would be foolish to miss out on the $1,000.

Pro tip: If you are not a fan of the current administration you can refer to it as a 530a plan. 😂

In Retirement - REVIEW
The biggest obstacle in retirement is needing income in down markets. Review spending reserves/safer assets as well as ensuring dividends and/or other income is sufficient.
