Had a client text me a picture of their car after a hailstorm a while back — completely caved in on one side. They were stressed, obviously. But because they actually had the right coverage in place, the whole thing got handled without it wrecking their finances too.

That's the whole point of what I do. Not selling a policy — making sure that when life throws something at you, you're not also dealing with a financial gut punch on top of it.

Neither is true if it's done right. Shopping your rate doesn't ding your credit, and a good agent makes sure your new policy starts before your old one ends — zero gap, zero risk.

Underinsured/uninsured motorist coverage — it's the one most people skip, and it's the one I'd argue matters most.

Here's why: if someone hits you and they don't have insurance, or don't have enough, this is what fills that gap. And in Oklahoma, a decent chunk of drivers on the road are uninsured.

You can't afford to not have full coverage if you're still making payments on your car. Period.

I get the temptation to go bare minimum to save a few bucks a month. But if you total a financed car with just liability coverage, you're still on the hook for the loan with nothing to show for it.

Cutting corners on coverage isn't saving money — it's just delaying the bill. Let's make sure you're actually protected, not just paying less.

It's one of the easiest discounts out there and a lot of people are leaving it on the table just because they've never had someone walk them through it.
