Here's what to watch out for:
🚩 Red Flags in Financials:
• Inflated Owner Perks: Personal cars, excessive "salaries" for family members, or luxury expenses disguised as business costs.
• "One-Time" Expenses: Repairs or costs that are presented as non-recurring but are actually essential for the business to operate.
• Vague "Cash Business": Any revenue not on the books is a HUGE risk – if it's not documented, it's not real for your valuation.
• Related Party Payments: Scrutinize payments to other businesses or family members of the seller. Are they legitimate, market-rate services?
