Derrick Lewis is universally known as one of the most terrifying, heavy-hitting knockout artists in UFC history, but his greatest victory happened far away from the bright lights of the Octagon.
When catastrophic flooding from Hurricane Harvey completely devastated the city of Houston, "The Black Beast" didn't just sit back and watch the news. He immediately hopped into his massive, lifted pickup truck and drove straight into the dangerous, deeply flooded neighborhoods.
For days on end, Lewis navigated high waters to rescue trapped families, elderly residents, and stranded pets, ultimately pulling over 100 people to absolute safety. He completely refused to take any praise or recognition for it, proving that underneath that fierce, intimidating exterior lies the heart of a true community guardian.
