Did you know September is Life Insurance Awareness Month?

Each September, I like to kick off the month by sharing my “WHY.”

For me, it’s pretty simple — my family.

Recently MY WHY hit a little differently. Within a matter of days, I dropped my daughter off at college and watched my youngest son walk into kindergarten for the first time.

Two completely different stages of life, and a pretty powerful reminder of how quickly time goes.

As a dad, one of my biggest responsibilities is making sure they’re taken care of, no matter what life brings.

That’s why life insurance is so much more personal to me than just something I do for a living.

It’s not really about a policy or a death benefit. It’s about making sure the mortgage can still be paid. That your kids still have the opportunities you planned for them. That everyday expenses are covered. And that the people you love have some financial security during an incredibly difficult time.

That’s what life insurance means to me. And the people in these pictures are my why.
