Rates have dropped over the past year! If you put purchasing or refinancing on the back burner, now is a good time to get something cooking.

Know anyone thinking about buying a home? Please send them my way and share my suggested first step prior to preapproval. I advise everyone opt out of letting the credit bureaus sell your info. This greatly reduces credit card preapprovals coming in the mail as well as telemarketing calls right after any mortgage company pulls your credit. I've heard of people receiving up to 200 calls due to the credit bureaus selling off client info. Do the 5 year electronic opt out at https://www.optoutprescreen.com/ I suggest not giving the credit bureaus your phone number when opting out as it's not required. A permanent opt out is also a great option to do after the 5 year online option.
