As we wrap up May, we're reflecting on an incredible month that included our ESOP Week, capped off by our ESOP party at International Market Square.

Colleagues from our 11 offices gathered to celebrate and reflect on the success and challenges of the past year. We climbed to the 66th largest agency in the country, the 3rd largest ESOP insurance broker in the country, and the 17th largest privately held agency when you exclude publicly traded and private equity firms.

Everyone shares in our success. When we're all in one room, the culture, loyalty, and commitment are undeniable. Our team, and most importantly our clients, all benefit from this connection.

Because we're employee-owned, our clients experience something different. Lower turnover means stronger long-term relationships. Teams invested in outcomes, not transactions. Independence to recommend what's best for them, not what benefits a parent company. That's the ESOP difference. This is why we serve better.

And it's meaningful to come together and celebrate our wins as one company.

As we head into another busy season, we're growing. We're looking for talented people who want to build something meaningful with us. If you're ready to be part of a 100% employee-owned company where you have real ownership and real impact, we're hiring across our 11 offices.

Join us. Grow with us. Win with us.

You’re Not Alone; visited our Monticello office this week, and it was a perfect way to share about mental health during Mental Health Awareness Month in May.

You're Not Alone is dedicated to supporting whole-person health and well-being, with an emphasis on mental health. The organization uses certified therapy dogs to create judgment-free spaces where people feel safe, respected, and seen. Their work is transforming how communities support mental health across the country.

Willow the therapy dog was a highlight of the visit, and our Monticello team was honored to present You're Not Alone with the West Bend Insurance Company Spirit of the Silver Living award plaque.

Founder Amy Theisen Walz also shared about their upcoming fundraiser, Raise the Ruff, and encouraged sponsors to join the cause. We're in, and we hope you will be too.

We took our CG Monticello team out to the Monticello Chamber of Commerce & Industry Red, White and Blue Open golf tournament yesterday.

What we loved: seeing our clients on the course, spending a day together as teammates, and connecting with our chamber partners. Our Monticello team showed up ready.

We sponsored hole 16, our favorite spot to see you all. See you next year!

Big thanks to the Monticello Chamber for putting this on.

Is Your Insurance Policy Ready for Severe Weather Season? Your Coverage May Have Changed

We've already seen severe weather strike this season, and this week marks Severe Weather Awareness Week, making it the perfect time to review your homeowners and auto insurance policies. Insurance companies have been making significant changes to coverage options, and you may not realize how your policy has shifted.

What's Changing?
Many insurers are shifting from "Replacement Cost Value" (RCV) to "Actual Cash Value" (ACV) policies:
• Replacement Cost Value: Covers the full cost to replace a damaged roof
• Actual Cash Value: Pays based on your roof's current value, accounting for age and condition, which often falls short of replacement cost
• Limited Loss Settlement: Pays a percentage amount toward the cost to replace or repair damaged roof parts, based on the roof's age. This percentage declines each year as the roof ages

Roofs newer than 10 years typically have RCV coverage, while older roofs are increasingly moved to ACV policies. Additionally, insurance companies are raising deductibles to lower premiums, but many homeowners don't notice these changes.

Why This Matters Now
Severe weather strikes without warning. It's too late to change your policy after a storm hits. Kare 11 News recently featured a story breaking down the real impact of ACV versus Replacement Cost coverage and rising deductibles.

Take Action This Week

After the recent hail storm and the beginning of Severe Weather Awareness Week, insurance experts say now is a good time to review your policy.

At Christensen Group, ownership is not just a benefit. It is how we grow, how we show up, and how we build our future together. Every new hire becomes part of that story.

This Talent Acquisition Partner role is about more than recruiting. It is about connecting people to a place where they can grow, make an impact, and have real ownership in what they help build.

We had the honor of attending the INDY Foundation's Bowties and Arrows Gala 2026, and it was a night to remember.

The INDY Foundation provides direct financial assistance to MN families facing a cancer diagnosis, helping cover costs like transportation to treatments, utility bills, mortgage payments, and even meaningful getaways to places like Grand View Lodge. Every dollar stays local, and every bit of support makes a real difference.

Proud to stand behind this mission.

Thank you to the INDY Foundation and all the local businesses who continue to show up for this cause.

CG employees were proud to participate in the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Minnesota as part of Ross’s Rebels, supporting an incredible cause. This year, we brought the energy with our theme, Who Let the Dogs Out, complete with plenty of howling along the way.

Our team of 28, including 6 CG employees who took the plunge, came together to support a shared purpose and give back in a big way.

Together, we raised $17,476. With an additional $4,715.25 match from CG employees on behalf of the Charity Committee, the total amount raised reached $22,191.25.

A sincere thank you to our participants and donors who showed up, gave generously, and embraced the experience. Your support helps create more opportunities for athletes and builds a stronger, more connected community.
