In August, Viking Employees helped raise $932, and filled 40 backpacks - each containing notebooks, scissor, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, erasers, dry erase markers, Kleenex, notecards, ruler, post-it notes, sharpies, and pencil holders.

The Community Action Partnership has been serving Scott Carver & Dakota Counties since 2011. CAP’s Backpacks for Success partners with local schools, businesses, organizations, and individuals to collect backpacks and school supplies for students in need. Their goal is to ensure that the families they serve have the materials they need to successfully begin the new school year. CAP provides children with a brand-new backpack filled with supplies and books, packed by community volunteers.
