At that time, the Agency represented approximately six insurance companies, writing personal insurance with a staff of two. Today the Agency employs a staff of 15 people and represents over 30 companies. Carl (Buddy) DeYulis joined the Agency in 1980 and became a partner with his father in 1990. Buddy purchased the Agency from his father in 1994. In 1996, Ebensburg Insurance Agency became an affil

iate of Keystone Insurers Group, where Buddy holds a position on the Board of Directors. Currently, Keystone is the second largest privately-held insurance agency in the country. Buddy’s sons Kasey and Kurtis joined the agency in 2011 and 2012 and plan on continuing the tradition of running a family owned independent agency. In working toward that goal, Ebensburg Insurance Agency acquired D.B. Mackey Agency located in Bellwood, PA in 2015.

A kitchen fire can close a restaurant for weeks and repairs are usually covered. The lost income often is not, unless the policy includes business interruption coverage.

Some things you cannot put in a policy.

Kasey DeYulis is one of our account executives, and the standard he holds himself to is the kind that only works when you actually live in the community you serve. There is no quote tool, no automated renewal, and no national call center that produces this kind of accountability.

It is one of the quieter advantages of working with a local independent agency, and it is the part most business owners only appreciate after a claim.

Our office will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day, and we will reopen on Tuesday, May 26th during our regular hours.
