🏡 Sometimes a second opportunity turns into something worth celebrating! 🔑

At the end of September, this family celebrated a big milestone: upgrading to their new home while staying in the same school district!

But their story actually started nearly a year earlier.

Back in October 2025, they were interested in a home that went to auction. The property didn’t meet its reserve price, so it remained unsold.

Several months later, when the seller was preparing to purchase his next home, he reached back out to see if they were still interested.

They were, and by the end of September, they were sitting at the settlement table getting the keys to that very home! 🏡

There’s another special connection in this story. The seller is a friend and past client of mine! Knowing the advantages of working with a mortgage broker, including access to multiple lenders, he recommended that the buyers reach out to me.

I’m grateful that connection gave me the opportunity to be part of this family’s journey.

And it was even better getting to join them at settlement to celebrate!

🏡 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸'𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽: 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 👍
Mortgage rates ended the week slightly lower for the fourth straight week, although once again it wasn't a smooth ride. Rates crept higher after Wednesday's Fed meeting before improving Thursday and Friday as AI and tech stocks sold off and investors moved money into bonds.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸'𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁: 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 👍
Mortgage rates could continue to improve this week, but they'll need some help from weaker jobs data and falling oil prices. While we could see rates move a little lower, don't expect any big drops. Instead, we could see more of the gradual improvement we've seen throughout October.

📈 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸:
•Labor data: It's a big week for jobs data, with Friday's BLS jobs report likely to have the biggest impact on mortgage rates. Weak numbers could help rates, while strong numbers could push them higher.
•Oil: Oil prices are starting the week lower on hopes for a U.S.-Iran deal, but concerns about possible military action after the midterms could push prices higher again.
•Stocks: AI and tech stocks could continue to influence rates this week. More selling could help mortgage rates improve, while a rebound could push rates higher.

Four years of 717 Mortgage group, Mortgage Broker! 🎉

When I joined 717 Mortgage Group in August 2023, I was just the second Loan Officer to come aboard.

Today, we’re a team of 19 Loan Officers, and it’s pretty incredible to look back at how much we’ve grown and everything we’ve accomplished along the way.

One of the things I’m most proud of in my career has been the opportunity to be part of that growth. What started as an opportunity to grow my own mortgage business has turned into something much bigger, including the opportunity to help lead our team as COO.

We’ve accomplished a lot together. We’ve faced challenges, learned from them, welcomed new people to the team, and continued finding ways to improve what we do and how we serve our clients.

For me, one of the most rewarding parts has been watching the team grow and knowing I’ve had a hand in helping us get to where we are today.

I’m grateful to Justin Robitaille for trusting me with the opportunity to help lead this company, to everyone on our team for the work they put in, and to the clients and business partners who continue to support us.

I’m proud of where we are today, but I’m even more excited about where we’re going.

The mortgage might be finished, but the relationships don’t have to be! 🏡🍕

Last month, Sarah Reed, Realtor and I got together with some recent clients for a post-settlement dinner at The Millworks in Harrisburg, PA!

We had settled a couple of weeks earlier, but it took a little time to get everyone’s schedules lined up.

One of the things I enjoy about what I do is having opportunities to connect with people outside of our professional roles. It’s nice to put the paperwork and deadlines aside and simply enjoy each other’s company.

And I have to give The Millworks a shoutout! It’s a really cool spot with a lot of character. Between the historic building, industrial atmosphere, and the local art galleries and artist studios, there’s a lot more to the place than just a restaurant.

I went with their smoked brisket wood-fired pizza, which I enjoyed! 🍕
