Hope for Strength Breast Cancer Fund Hope for Strength Breast Cancer Fund is a fund through the Pocono Health Foundation benefiting breast cancer patients at the Dale & Frances Cancer Center.

Hope for Strength Breast Cancer Fund is a designated fund through the Pocono Health Foundation designed to benefit local Pocono Mountains-area male and female breast cancer patients at The Dale & Frances Hughes Cancer Center. 100% of the money raised by our fundraisers and awareness events, as well as any generous donations generated throughout the year, goes directly to this fund. The purpose of

the fund is to minimize the financial and emotional impact of a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. For patients at the center who qualify and demonstrate a need for help, the Hope for Strength Breast Cancer fund will cover certain expenses. Expenses that may be covered by Hope for Strength funds are basic living expenses which are not covered by insurance.

We can hardly believe it’s been 10 years since we first partnered with Shawnee Mountain Ski Area to host our Paint the Mountain Pink event. Their continued support and generosity have been nothing short of overwhelming, and we are incredibly grateful.

To celebrate our 10-year anniversary, we’ve made some exciting changes!
🎟 Grand prize tickets are now just $5.00 each, and for the first time, you’ll be able to choose which grand prize you’d like to win. We’ll also continue to offer a wide variety of additional raffle prizes.

This year, we’ve truly outdone ourselves with our grand prizes, including:

Overnight stays at local resorts
Spa treatments
WBS Penguins donation bag
IronPigs tickets
Gift certificates to local restaurants and eateries
A shotski board and a snowboard bench
Golf foursomes
A $150 “Pot of Gold”
A watercraft rental and dinner at Lake Wallenpaupack
—just to name a few!

As always, we’ll also have ski-related prizes such as skis, helmets, goggles, ski poles, and local ski vouchers. We’ve been extremely fortunate this year, and as a special treat for Longaberger basket collectors, most raffle prizes will be beautifully packed inside these baskets.

Recently, the staff and students at Hamilton Elementary School donated to the Hope for Strength Breast Cancer Fund. This was done by various fun competitions and general donations.

We’re so humbled to receive such funds from these young students as it shows their commitment to community service and kind hearts at such a young age.

This is one of our biggest annual fundraising events that allows us to continue supporting patients receiving breast cancer treatment at the Dale and Frances Hughes Cancer Center.
