My mother was born in 1928, long before women were encouraged to lead, build businesses, or create opportunities for themselves. Yet she was a true entrepreneur and one of the strongest people I’ve ever known.

One of the greatest lessons she ever taught me was this:

“If you can’t find a club to join, then start your own and stop whining about it.”

Simple. Direct. Powerful.

She taught me not to wait for permission, not to sit on the sidelines wishing someone would open a door, but instead to create opportunities, build relationships, and make things happen.

That mindset shaped who I became — both personally and professionally. It gave me the courage to build my own business, mentor others, and continue pushing forward even when the path wasn’t easy.

She truly was my inspiration and the person who made me who I am.

May she rest in peace, and may her wisdom continue to guide me every day.
