Finex Credit Union held its 88th Annual Meeting last week, bringing together our Board of Directors, leadership team, and staff to reflect on another year of service and look ahead to what’s next.

We were honored to recognize Peter Lupi for an incredible 50 years of service to Finex Credit Union. Peter previously served as Chair of the Board and continues to serve as Vice Chair, offering decades of leadership, perspective, and unwavering commitment to our members and our mission. We are truly grateful for his many years of dedication and the lasting impact he has had on Finex.

Finex Credit Union was proud to join UFCW Local 371 at the Brian Petronella Memorial Golf Tournament on May 20 at Whitney Farms Golf Course in Monroe.

This special outing honors the memory of past Local 371 CEO Brian Petronella while supporting two meaningful causes: Make-A-Wish Foundation, Greater New Haven and the UFCW Local 371 Scholarship Fund.

Thank you to UFCW Local 371 for including us in such a great event. We’re grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting our Select Employer Group partners and the communities they serve.

Finex Credit Union recently recognized Detective Sean Houlihan of the Wallingford Police Department for his investigative work helping three Finex members recover funds stolen through a phone scam.

In appreciation of his efforts and commitment to protecting the community, Finex made a $500 donation to the Wallingford Police Benevolent Association.

Please join us in thanking Detective Houlihan, the Wallingford, CT Police Department, and our Finex fraud team for helping protect our members and supporting a positive outcome.

This story is also a good reminder: never share one-time passcodes, verification codes, online banking credentials, debit card information, or account access information with anyone who contacts you unexpectedly. Finex will never unexpectedly ask members to share this information. When in doubt, hang up and contact us directly.

Our team was proud to participate in Hockanum Valley Community Council’s Mental Health Awareness Walk and support the important work they do for mental health and substance abuse services in our community.

Teacher Appreciation Week was the perfect opportunity to celebrate some of the incredible educators serving students in East Hartford.

Finex was proud to sponsor Teacher Appreciation Week celebrations at East Hartford High School, East Hartford Middle School, Silver Lane Elementary and Langford Elementary, including ice cream trucks and a teacher appreciation lunch. Mary Sullivan, our Business Development Director, had the opportunity to visit the schools and thank teachers and staff for the important work they do every day.

To all of the teachers, administrators and school staff who give so much of themselves to their students and their community, thank you. We appreciate everything you do!

Today, Team Finex took part in the Connecticut Foodshare Walk Against Hunger — coming together with our community to support a cause that impacts thousands of families across the state.

It was great to see so many people show up, walk together, and raise awareness around food insecurity here in Connecticut.

We’re proud to continue supporting Connecticut Foodshare, building on the donations collected at our recent Shred Day and finding more ways to give back.

This month, we’re proud to support initiatives that help protect both our community and the environment.

Here’s how we’re making a difference:

🗂️ Wallingford Shred Day on April 18 helped members and the community securely dispose of sensitive paper documents

💻 Electronic Shredding Collection in Vernon is giving members and the community a safe way to recycle small electronic storage items that may contain personal information

🌱 Plant a Tree with eStatements — for every member who switches from paper statements to eStatements, Finex will make a donation to plant a tree from now until the end of the month

At Finex, we believe small actions can add up to a meaningful impact. Thank you to everyone helping us celebrate Earth Day and support a greener future.

Our Wallingford Shred Day on Saturday was a great success, and we’re especially thankful for the many non-perishable food donations collected for Connecticut Foodshare.

Connecticut Foodshare picked up the donations yesterday, and we’re so grateful to everyone who helped support local families while also protecting their personal information. Thank you for your support, Wallingford!
