The Daniel Crosby State Farm Agency wants you to stay safe and prepared during the upcoming winter storm. Here are some important tips:

🚰 Prevent Frozen Pipes:

Keep a slow drip of water flowing from faucets.
Open cabinet doors to allow warm air to circulate around pipes.
Seal cracks and openings near pipes.

⚡ Safe Generator Use:

Always run generators outdoors, away from windows and doors.
Never plug a generator directly into your home’s electrical system.
Use heavy-duty, outdoor-rated extension cords.

🚗 Stay Off Icy Roads:

If possible, avoid driving until roads are cleared and treated.
If you must drive, go slow and keep a safe distance from other vehicles.

Insurance Advice

State Farm Agent, Daniel Crosby:

Couple of tips:
1) Do not just sign a contract or pay someone. 2)Tarp roof.
3) Be patient as it will take weeks.
4) Don’t file claims for small stuff
5) Trees, no matter where the tree came from, where it lands is where the insurance coverage is. Meaning your tree hits neighbors house then their insurance pays and vice versa
6) Auto- you drive through a puddle, if damage is done it will be at fault accident with collision coverage
7) Auto - tree falls on car or anything else or water rises then that is comprehensive
😎 Store your valuable somewhere safe
9.) Remember patience and it will take time for a claim to go through with all the damage that is happening
10.) Preserve your assets (tarp roof) as it could take up to 2 weeks to get an adjuster
