It's USMex Time!

My favorite coin show of the year, down in Scottsdale Arizona. This show specializes in Mexican and other Latin American coinage. It's not a big show, but there's a lot of amazing material and great people.

The shop is closing at 3:00 p.m. today, remaining closed through the end of the week.
Will be back open on Monday, for normal hours of operation all next week.

Check out some of the goodies I'm bringing with me down to Arizona!
And I hope to bring some really cool goodies back with me!

Back from a successful Denver Coin Show! Back open for a few days, then I close at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday and head out to Scottsdale for the USMex Coin Show.

Check out a few of the goodies I picked up in Denver!

A thought that I want your opinion on, for my local customers. Due to some customer behavior lately, it's got me thinking about going to appointment only. Or having set days of the week that are appointment only.

Long story short, I am just one person, and I need to prioritize customers who are here to do business. Time wasters, or people of questionable intelligence, ethics, or sobriety, are people I am becoming increasingly impatient with.

There are pros and cons to appointment only. There is nothing imminent, no schedule changes are on the horizon.
However, in the constant pursuit of providing the best customer experience I am capable of, I certainly see the benefits of appointment only.

It's only been about 90 minutes since I started selling coins here in Denver. Safe to say, the coin market is alive and well! Especially if you're priced reasonably, as I always strive to be.

Shop will be back open starting Monday, and I'm hungry to buy coins!

From individual coins, to entire collections, Eagle Coin will buy it all at very competitive numbers!

Let's talk about Cleaned Coins!

Should you clean a coin? Short answer, NO!
But, I do give a tip for improving a coin under very specific conditions. Watch the video to find out!

Cleaned coins are always going to be worth less than a coin with original patina. Originality is what is sought after. Removing originality = Removal of value, especially if done in an unskilled manner.

It's tragic how many quality coins I've seen that have been cleaned to a fraction of their original value. Likely, because the collector or person who inherited the coin, didn't know better, and just wanted the coin to be shinier.

Shiny is great when it's original mint luster. It's not good when a circulated coin has been polished to death.

Coin conservation (properly performed light cleaning that maintains surface quality) is a topic for another day.

- Next week, the shop will be closing early on Tuesday. Closing at 1:00 p.m. And will be closed all day Wednesday and Thursday. I am attending a coin show in Chicago. Will be back open on Friday.

- I'm looking for ideas for more educational videos. If you have questions about anything coin collecting or bullion stacking. Or, if you just want my opinion on something coin industry related, leave a comment down below, and I may use it as inspiration for a future video!

- Google Reviews! I know, I bring this up every few months, haha. But they are important to my business. If we've done business before, and you haven't left a review on Google, I would greatly appreciate one!
These reviews help me continue to grow my business, which means I can offer more cool coins and keep a larger inventory of bullion for my clients!
Reviews on Yelp and Facebook are also greatly appreciated!

Hope to see you all in the shop soon! - David
