Summer is the perfect time to take care of your home while the weather is warm. A few simple maintenance tasks now can help your home run more efficiently and avoid bigger issues later.

Inside your home, consider:
• Switching ceiling fans to spin counterclockwise to help circulate cool air
• Cleaning refrigerator coils to improve efficiency
• Washing windows and checking screens for damage or wear
• Sealing air leaks around doors and windows with caulk or weather stripping

Outside your home, summer upkeep can include:
• Servicing your air conditioner for peak performance
• Gently hosing down your exterior AC unit to remove dirt and debris
• Washing siding and windows to remove buildup from spring weather
• Checking gutters and downspouts to ensure proper drainage away from your home
