We are thrilled to welcome Kirby Pennix to the M&F Bank family as our newest Business Banker at our Rock Quarry Road location in Raleigh, NC.

Kirby brings over 25 years of banking experience to our team, including 12 years as a Business Banker with Wells Fargo, nine years with Bank of America where he served as Bankruptcy Manager, Personal Banker, and Mortgage Loan Originator, and four years as a Loan Processor and Underwriter with Wachovia. He is a UNC Greensboro alum and deeply passionate about helping businesses grow.

When he's not in the office, you'll find Kirby with his wife and three sons, out on the golf course , where he has been playing for over 30 years and coaching for the past four. And yes, after college he actually pursued a career as a professional golfer.

His favorite treat? His mother's homemade sweet potato pie, which he says is "100 times better than Patti's Pies!" 😄

M&F Bank was a proud sponsor of the 41st Annual Stellar Awards, the premier celebration of gospel music in America, hosted in Charlotte, NC. With over 10,000 attendees, this was gospel music's biggest night, and we were honored to be part of it.

We had the pleasure of connecting with Charlotte's Interim Mayor Rob Harrington and First Lady Sharon Harrington, sharing our mission and our vision for the future, including our upcoming partnership with Optus Bank. It was also a joy to see so many of our customers in the building and to spend time with our Charlotte Community Advisory Board member Rhonda Caldwell, who served on the Stellar Awards team.
