When a community lender and a local entrepreneur sit down together, real change happens.
Our SVP & Chief Lending Officer Caroline Taylor recently joined Adiah Oyefesobi, founder of Special Beginnings Midwifery, for an in-studio conversation with WRAL, sharing how the Empowering Growth Small Business Grant is doing exactly what it was designed to do: helping businesses grow, expand, and hire in the communities we serve.
Special Beginnings is using their $10,000 grant to pursue birth center accreditation which means more families in Durham will have access to quality midwifery-led care, and more jobs will be created in the process. That's the ripple effect of investing in small businesses.
We believe financial access isn't just good for business, it's good for entire communities. When entrepreneurs have the capital, the knowledge, and the relationships they need to grow, everybody wins.
Thank you to WRAL for bringing this story to the screen.
