Most policies renew on autopilot. The coverage keeps matching the life you had when you bought it, not the one you have now.

The usual findings: liability limits set years ago and never raised, a vehicle still listed that you sold, a deductible you agreed to when your savings looked different, and a home insured for a rebuild cost that hasn't been updated since construction prices moved.

None of it announces itself. It surfaces at claim time, which is the most expensive moment to discover a gap.

A review takes about ten minutes, costs nothing, and doesn't obligate you to change anything.

Most drivers carry liability limits they picked years ago and haven't revisited since. If a serious at-fault accident produces a judgment above that limit, the difference doesn't disappear — it follows you, and it can reach income and assets.

An umbrella policy sits on top of the liability limits you already carry on your home and auto, and picks up where they run out, usually in increments of a million dollars.

It's the coverage people are most surprised by once they see what it costs relative to what it does. If you own a home, have teen drivers, or have built up savings worth protecting, it's worth a conversation.

Home insurers have changed how they treat older roofs, and most homeowners find out at the worst possible moment — after a claim, or when a renewal doesn't come.

Depending on the carrier and the roof, that can mean a reduced payout based on depreciated value rather than replacement cost, a separate and higher deductible for wind and hail, or a non-renewal following an inspection.

The important part: carriers do not agree with each other on this. A roof that one company treats as a problem, another will write without hesitation. That difference is invisible unless someone checks.

We'll find out where your roof lands across all nine companies we represent.

No accidents. No tickets. No claims. And the bill still went up.

It isn't personal. Carriers re-rate their entire book based on repair costs, medical costs, weather losses, and what everyone else in your area is claiming. Your record can be spotless and your premium still moves.

The fix isn't arguing with your carrier — they're applying a filed rate and they can't undo it for you. The fix is finding out whether someone else wants your business more.

Send us your current declarations page and we'll put it side by side with nine A-rated companies. Same coverage, real numbers, about ten minutes. No obligation to switch.

Adding a teenager to your policy raises your premium. That part is unavoidable. What's avoidable is paying more than you have to.

Three credits get missed constantly: the good student discount, credit for completing a driver training course, and a reduced rate once a student goes away to school without a car. None of them apply automatically — someone has to ask the carrier.

That's the part we handle. When your teen gets added, we check every available credit across all nine companies we represent, then show you where the total actually lands.

Worth doing before the policy renews rather than after.

Every standard homeowners policy in the country excludes flood. Not most of them — all of them. Flood coverage comes through a separate policy, and it typically takes 30 days to take effect.

That 30-day wait is the part that catches people. Once a named storm is on the map, carriers stop writing new flood policies until it passes. If you wait for the forecast, you've already waited too long.

You also don't have to be near the coast. Inland flooding from heavy rain and overwhelmed drainage causes claims across the Triangle every year, including well outside mapped flood zones.

If you've never checked whether you have flood coverage, now is the quiet part of the season to do it.

Same driver. Same coverage. Nine different prices.
When you call a one-brand agent, they can quote you exactly one company. If that carrier's rate happens to be high for your ZIP code, your age, or your vehicle — that's the number you get. There's no second opinion.
We're independent. Nine A-rated companies compete for your business, and you see the results side by side. Rates for identical coverage can differ by hundreds of dollars a year between carriers, and there's no way to know where you stand until you look.
About ten minutes, and no obligation to switch.
