Choctaw Nation 477 Program Employment Training Services Providing Employment & Training Services to Native Americans overcoming barriers to employment. DURATION
* Three months (90 days) employment.

* Training provided in the public or private sector.
* Prepares participants for full or part-time employment.
* Assists participant in becoming self-sufficient.
* 50% reimbursement to employer for three month (90 days) training period. ELIGIBILITY
* Must meet eligibility requirements.
* Must be unemployed or underemployed. PARTICIPANTS RESPONSIBILITY
* Show up prepared to work.
* Notify employer

if missing work for any reason
15 minutes prior to shift start.
* Work Scheduled hours. EMPLOYER RESPONSIBILITY
* Provide job description.
* Agrees to hire participant after three months (90 days) employment.
* Workman’s compensation insurance verification.

The Choctaw Nation 477 Program - Employment & Training Services Teams will be traveling to Durant, OK for a team meeting today (6/26).

During this time, both traveling staff and those at headquarters will have limited to no access to phones & email. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we take this time to collaborate and strengthen our services.

As we enter the summer months, it is important to be prepared for Extreme Heat events and Power Outages.

☀️ Have a plan to stay as cool as you can and hydrated if your power or AC goes out, protecting yourself from heat related illnesses.

- Plan in advance where you can go to stay cool; are there community spaces that will be open that can provide relief?
- Use ventilation and shading to help moderate indoor temperatures, like covering sun-exposed windows.
- Stay hydrated.
- Use fuel-powered generators safely. Never run a generator inside your home, garage, or basement. Place your generator at least 20 feet away from buildings.
