It is so very important that you monitor your parents and loved ones for elder abuse. and we would like to think that people that are doing home healthcare are all doing it because they love elderly, but there are people with other motives. I can’t tell you how many goals I get with stories about someone that was taken advantage of financially by someone who was family or a well intentional Neighbor/friend. It’s so important that the people you have taken care of your loved family and friends. Be someone who is vetted. Putting the house and assets in a trust could prevent this horrible situation from ever happening.

The standard mileage rate increase to 72.5 cents for 2026.

The IRS increased the optional standard mileage rate used to calculate the deductible costs of operating a vehicle for business to 72.5 cents per mile driven, up 2.5 cents from 2025.
