As we celebrate Father's Day, I want to honor the incredible dads and father figures who empower us to make a difference.
This special day inspires me to share a personal story about my own dad, whose legacy lives on through the agency I founded in his honor.
I was raised in the insurance business; I literally grew up in an insurance agency connected to our home. Clients were like family, and their meetings were more like visits. As a child, my play often centered around the agency, which was an extension of our home and heart. I'd engage in playful pretend work with my siblings, role-playing sales calls on a cassette player and enjoying visits to clients' homes and farms with my dad, savoring the warmth of their hospitality and the comfort of the relationships. What struck me most was his remarkable ability to forge lasting connections built on empathy, expertise, and a genuine interest in others. His fearless approach to challenges and his humorous zest for life's experiences only added to his allure.
Today, as I meet with clients, I feel his presence, guiding me to build meaningful relationships and strive for excellence. His enduring impact continues to motivate me, shaping the way I approach my work and personal life.
I am proud to be the keeper of his stories, his laugh and his legacy….
