Major Tax Changes in 2016

Taxpayers receiving the earned income tax credit(EIC) will not receive refunds before February 15, 2017. The IRS is delaying refunds as a way to mitigate fraud in the EIC program.

W2's and 1099's are due January 31, 2017.

All Texas taxpayers should file for an exemption for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) since Texas did not participate in the Medicaid expansion under Obama Care.
