It has been such a pleasure to spend another year recognizing the South Charleston High School Student Athletes of the Week, and meeting so many great kids that prioritize their academics while still being standout athletic performers. Yesterday we had our Senior Student Athlete party where our Scholarship winner was uniquely chosen. It was an honor for me to be a Presenter this morning at the SCHS Awards Ceremony and be able to present a $1,000 Scholarship to Malcolm "LB" Brown!

LB will be going to North Dakota next year to play basketball while majoring in Engineering! Congrats again, LB, and Keep Up the Great Work! 🎓🏀

Please, join me in congratulating this week's Holcomb Insurance Student Athlete of the Week from South Charleston High School, ISRAEL STOTTS!!! 🥇

Israel is a JUNIOR on the Black Eagles Varsity Track Team! He has a 4.3 GPA (wow!). Izzy is described as a leader on the team where he specializes in hurdles. He told me he really enjoys them and is currently 2nd in the State in the 110H and 4th in the State in the 300H! Academically, he is a great student taking multiple college courses! Congrats again, Izzy, and keep up the great work!!

Gabby is a JUNIOR on the Lady Black Eagles Varsity Soccer Team! She has a 4.6 GPA (wow!). Gabby, aKa, "Hat Trick Gabby" is always alert and ready to go! She's a little bit of a quiet one, but such a hard worker! I've seen this girl play, as well as videos of her games and she's definitely someone you will enjoy watching play the game! Not only is she the SAotW but yesterday was her birthday so also let's scream HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, GABBY!! Congrats again, girl, and keep up the great work!!

For April, we are featuring an awesome, local photographer FramedPhotography !!! 📸

FramedPhotography officially began as a business in 2025, but Gracie (Frame) McDonald has been taking pictures for fun since 2021.

She specializes in seniors, couples, families, weddings, and branding but also offers other sessions such as birthdays, sports, showers/parties, and seasonal minis.

A little about Gracie and her business: She loves capturing life's important moments in true color and making sure her clients don't just receive pictures, but a good and memorable experience. Gracie's business motto has been: "Telling your story while reflecting His glory" because without Him, she wouldn't be doing this ministry nor would be blessed with the opportunities she's had!
