📉 Total mortgage applications fell 3.8% from a week ago.
📉 Home purchase applications fell 6% from a week ago, but were 17% higher than the same period a year ago.
🔁 Refinances fell slightly by 1% from the previous week, but were 30% higher than the same period a year ago.
📊 Although interest rates have edged down to 6.83% (compared to us 6.375% ), it doesn't seem enough to awaken most borrowers' desire to take action.
🍃 Behind the data, I sense a pause of calm and reflection, not abandonment.
🏡 While home purchase and refinance applications have declined, they remain double-digit higher year-over-year—a testament to the market's resilience and the way people are trying to figure out: Which options best align with your life aspirations in this current situation?

🏡 The purchase application increased by 9%, a year-on-year increase of 25%, setting a two-year high
🔁 The refinancing application increased by 9%, a year-on-year increase of 56%
