If a tornado approaches while on the road and you can’t reach shelter, avoid stopping under bridges and tunnels. Pull over to a safe, open area right away and place your head below the windows, covering it with your hands or a blanket. Never remove your seatbelt during this time.

Protect your home from freezing winter temps - IN CASE OF EMERGENCY edition!

*BE PREPARED
Have flashlights, blankets & bottled water on hand in case of outages. If you have a space heater, keep it at least 3 feet away from anything flammable.

*IF A PIPE FREEZES
Turn off the main water supply & gently warm the pipe with a hair dryer or warm towel - never use an open flame. Call a plumber if you suspect a burst pipe.

*STAY SAFE & WARM
Preparation can make all the difference this winter. Taking precautions now can help avoid damage, stay comfortable & enjoy peace of mind all season long.

Protect your home from freezing winter temps - OUTSIDE YOUR HOME edition.

*Clear gutters & roofs. Remove leaves and debris so melting snow can drain properly - this helps prevent ice damns.
*Use a roof rake after heavy snowfalls to reduce excess buildup.
*Protect outdoor faucets. Disconnect garden hoses, drain outdoor spigots & cover them with insulated caps/wraps.
*Seal drafts. Check around windows, doors & outlets for cold air leaks. A little weatherstripping or caulk goes a long way.

It’s that time of year, please protect your home from Freezing Winter Temps!
INSIDE YOUR HOME TIPS:
*Keep heat on to at least 55F to avoid freezing pipes, open cabinet doors under sinks.
*Insulate exposed pipes in basements, attics & crawl spaces.
*Have your furnace or boiler serviced before the deep freeze hits. Replace filters regularly and make sure vents are not blocked.
