Back in the office after an incredible few days at our annual meeting! This year was extra special because my family was able to join me- and I'm back feeling energized, focused, grateful, and maybe a little exhausted.

Carting the kids around with us was a little chaotic, with short attention spans and lots of snacks needed. But, there's something special and powerful about showing up as a mom in this industry and leading with both heart and hustle.

My biggest takeaway was a quote on the screen that read, "You are who you are, because of where you are", and I'm extremely fortunate to have been lead to Northwestern Mutual.

At Northwestern Mutual, we know the financial burden childhood cancer can place on families. That’s why in 2017, we established the Childhood Cancer Scholarship Program to help alleviate another major expense facing families affected by childhood cancer – the cost of a college education. Since then, we’ve supported 320+ scholars pursue higher education, with more than $2.6 million awarded in scholarships to date.

I am so grateful to have Lynn as my right hand person and all of her years of experience!

Join us in congratulating Lynn Kloft, as she celebrates 40 years with Northwestern Mutual! Lynn started her career with advisor, Pat Steele, working with him for 36 years. She continues to assist and work with other advisors from our Dubuque office, with some of her best friends being her co-workers!

Lynn loves to bake and enjoys flower/herb gardening. She and her husband are members of the Dubuque County Master Gardeners, and Lynn has been a member of the Dubuque Noon Lions for 31 years. This month, Lynn is looking forward to helping her youngest daughter move to Minnesota, after just recently passing her nursing boards.

In 1944, Northwestern Mutual hosted their first Fastrack Academy with the goal of welcoming returning WW2 veterans back into the workforce.

It has since evolved into an elite field training program that selects the top up and coming advisors each year through a qualification, nomination, and vetting process. 84% of Northwestern Mutual’s field leaders are graduates of the program.

Last week, 41 of us graduated from the program- representing 24 states, from all backgrounds, stages of life and diversity. I have never participated in something that will leave this profound of an impact on my personal and professional growth as this has. But I’m even more thankful for the relationships I gained. We laughed, learned, challenged, celebrated, and cried with each other. Each of us building our own dream, but never feeling like we are doing it alone.

I’m so proud to have earned my spot at the 281st Fastrack Academy!
