Meet the Team!👋
There's something special about getting to know members through every stage of life. Leandra Lopes, our Newark branch manager, loves seeing families come in with their babies, watching those children grow, and eventually helping them with their own financial needs.

One recent highlight was helping a retired couple finance their dream car. They weren't sure they would qualify and felt a little nervous about the process, so Leandra took the time to walk them through each step and make sure they understood their options.

They got the car and were so appreciative that they later stopped back in with pastries to say thank you!

Those lasting relationships, along with coworkers who become like family, are what makes working at a credit union so rewarding for Leandra.

💳 Debit or Credit? What's the Difference?

Using your debit card but being asked "Debit or Credit?"
It's still money from your checking account. The difference is how the transaction is processed.

🔢 Debit Transaction
Choose Debit and you'll typically enter your PIN. Funds come directly from your checking account through a debit network.

✍️ Credit Transaction
Choose Credit and the transaction is pre-authorized, then clears your account later. This option is often used when a merchant may need to adjust the amount later, like adding a restaurant tip.

💰 Same Money, Different Route
Whether you choose Debit or Credit, the money comes from your checking account associated to that debit card, not a line of credit. It's just about what's convenient and who you're paying.
